The Mega Millions jackpot is now over $1 billion

DES MOINES, Iowa — A giant Mega Millions lottery jackpot ballooned to $1.02 billion after no one matched all six numbers Tuesday night and won the top prize. The new estimated jackpot will be the nation's fourth-largest lottery prize. The jackpot has grown so large because no one has matched the game's six selected numbers since April 15. That's 29 consecutive drawings without a big winner. Tuesday's numbers were: 07-29-60-63-66, Mega Ball: 15. The $1.02 billion prize is for winners who choose the annuity option, paid annually over 30 years. Most winners opt for the cash option, which for the next drawing Friday night is an estimated $602.5 million. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million. Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game is coordinated by state lotteries. MS Dhoni turns 41: Fans celebrate MSD birthday with 41-feet high cutout

Fans of Vijaywada have made a 41-feet cutout of MS Dhoni playing his trademark helicopter shot on his 41st birthday.


MS Dhoni might have retired from international cricket but his craze is still alive among die-hard fans of the game. On Thursday, the former Indian skipper will turn 41 years old, and on this occasion fans in Andhra Pradesh’s Vijaywada have made a 41-feet high cutout of Ms Dhoni playing his trademark helicopter shot.

The cutout features Dhoni playing his trademark ‘helicopter shot’ on the final delivery of the 2011 World Cup. The photo of the cutout has now gone viral.After biding adieu to international cricket in 2020, Dhoni has been plying his trade in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Chennai Super Kings.In IPL 2022, Dhoni enjoyed a relatively decent season with the bat, scoring 232 runs in 14 games, with a top score of 50 and these runs came at a strike rate of over 123.

Before the beginning of the season, he had given up the CSK captaincy with an eye toward the future and Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as his successor.However, the allrounder’s form coupled with defeats of the yellow brigade prompted him to have a rethink before he finally gave up his captaincy.

Jadeja decided to relinquish captaincy midway through the season and Dhoni once again took up the responsibility.After CSK’s dismal performance in 2022, speculations were rife that Dhoni would call quits before 2023. However, he put an end to speculations and confirmed that he will be playing in the forthcoming edition as well.

Mohammad Kaif also took to Twitter, narrating how it was Sourav Ganguly who taught youngsters how to win while Dhoni helped them make winning a habit.
"Dada taught us youngsters how to win and Dhoni made it into a habit. Two great leaders from different eras born just a day apart. Happy birthday to the men who shaped Indian cricket," tweeted Kaif.

Dhoni is celebrating his 41st birthday in England. He was spotted watching a tennis match at the Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday. Later, pictures from the grand celebrations of Dhoni's birthday surfaced online. Some of these pictures were even shared by his wife Sakshi.
Dhoni remains one of the most successful captains the game of cricket has ever seen. He led the Indian team to win the 2011 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He is the only captain to have led a team to all three ICC trophies in limited-overs cricket.
Dhoni represented the Indian team in 90 Tests, 348 ODIs and 98 T20Is, scoring more than 10,000 ODI runs, and near about 5,000 runs in Tests.
